\n<\/strong>Student Enrolment<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Catholic schools exist to further the mission of the Catholic Church. In Western Australia, the Mandate of the Bishops requires the Catholic Education Commission of WA to make Catholic school education available to all Catholic children, insofar as possible. The procedures to ensure that this happens are as follows.<\/p>\n

An enrolment form is collected from the school office, filled in and returned to school along with a copy of the child\u2019s birth certificate, immunisation certificate and Baptismal certificate (if applicable). This information is kept confidential and is accompanied by a Collection Notice as required by the Privacy Act of 2001.<\/p>\n

An interview is held with the Principal for all applicants. The invitation to interview does not guarantee an offer of placement. Matters of school policy, including the fee payment structure, are discussed at this time.<\/p>\n

The following criteria, as recommended by the Catholic Education Commission, is used in determining the successful applicants<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Catholic students from the Parish<\/li>\n
  2. Catholic students from outside the Parish<\/li>\n
  3. Siblings of non-Catholic students<\/li>\n
  4. Non-Catholic students from other Christian denominations<\/li>\n
  5. Other non \u2013 Catholic students<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In exceptional Circumstances the Principal may vary the above priorities to suit particular circumstances.<\/p>\n

    People are notified in writing if their application for enrolment has been successful or unsuccessful.<\/p>\n

    Once a student is enrolled at St Mary\u2019s they are integrated totally into the school community regardless of their religious affiliation.<\/p>\n

    All parents need to be supportive of the school\u2019s Catholic ethos.<\/p>\n

    Enrolment at St Mary\u2019s does not necessarily guarantee enrolment at Bunbury Catholic College or any other Catholic Schools.<\/p>\n

    School Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n

    St Mary’s is part of Catholic Education’s Low Fees Initiative aiming to make Catholic schools available and affordable to everyone.\u00a0 Information on our fee structure can be found under the School Information Tab.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

    School fees are essential to the operation of St Mary\u2019s.\u00a0 If there is a problem with the payment of fees, parents are asked to contact the Principal for a confidential discussion. There are various payment options available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
